Description

Hi up for auction is Salvinia minima. My tank is full of it at the moment and I will be selling a handfull of these guys. Around 50 plants maybe more. Enough to cover 6"x6" surface of water, I have big hands. I have grown them in my high light, co2 inject and fertilized enriched tank. They grow at a moderate pace and is amazing for fry tanks. Personally I use them for rainbowfish fry where in the roots they provide micro organisms in which they fry can eat. I had great success with hard to feed fry this way. It also provides a great area for fish to find cover in. A nice little touch to any planted tank to give it more of a natural feel. It also helps absorb any nitrates in the tank to prevent green water and enhances the overall water quality. I find that when added to culture tanks, such as daphnia or any aquatic worms, it keeps the water cleaner so that I can take more time in between changing the water.
