You are bidding on a handful of frogbit, Limnobium laevigatum, enough to be snug in an area 6" by 6". S/H is $6 for a foam lined box that did my plants ok all last winter shipping out of Denver, Colorado. Its roots are sometimes 3" long, sometimes a foot long depending on water chemistry. Also, it grows at a pretty good clip, so you may not want much more than this to start, imho. If your tank has an open top, this species adds some interesting contrast and texture with other plants. It is also very useful as a companion to fry and many fish species that hang out at the water's surface. Don't have the hang of CO2? No problem, its leaves are breathing from the air(!)
