Up for your consideration is 1 cup of Guppy Grass (Najas Guadalupensis).
This grass grows prolifically under low light. It will grow even faster under medium-high light. This plant will improve your water quality and benefit your tank in many different ways.
This plant provides the best cover for fry, shy fish, and shrimp. You can plant it in the substrate or leave it free floating. Propagation is by lateral shoots. Unlike hornwort, this plant is not messy and does not break when you handle it. I keep Guppy Grass in all of my breeding/shrimp tanks.
