Water Lettuce HAPPY SNE!!!! UP for bid is the following... * POND WATER LETTUCE 1 ( 6x12 in closed bag) full, say 5 plants or more This stuff is GREAT for raising and breeding shrimp, and livebearers, as it makes a fantastic floating plant that gives birthing mothers a great place to hide out, and gives newborn and smaller fry a place to hide and not be eaten by their parents. It also will shade your low light plants that dont want high light, or give shade to fish that prefer dimmer light. I grow this floating in my 55's, with swordtail growing out. Having this at the surface, calms the swordtails that would prefer to jump without having plants floating in the tank... this works best in open topped or GLASS top tanks. The roots get long and bushy, which makes a GREAT cover for FRY!!!! this likes ALOT of light , humidity, and warmer temps. This is the POND vareity that will get LARGE... But they give off enuf babies, that I toss the HUGE ones in the compost pile, and let the babies grow out. Above the hornwort is in the upper left/center of the photo, naja on the left bottom, anubias nana petites in the center bottom, and right bottom is 50 cent+ sized WATER LETTUCE. This auction is for WATER LETTUCE only.
