bioAquatiX Mermaid Mermaid Weed (Proserpinaca): As with many other aquatic plants, the submersed and emersed leaves have dramatically different morphologies. This herbaceous plant isn't too difficult to grow, although it does require a lengthy period to transition from the saw-toothed, green emersed form to the finely-toothed, orange-red submersed form. This plant does fine with relatively low light levels but prefers moderate to high levels of light to complete it's color transition. Mermaid grows at a moderate to slow pace, producing few side shoots along the length of the stem. This species is an excellent choice for nano tanks, bioAquatiX bioBowls and other small aquascape environments because of its small size and moderate growth rate. We ship on Monday and Tuesday every week. There is no box charge. We do use O2 on all shipments. We also use ice/heat when necessary. All fish are purged for at least 24 hrs before shipment. Orders received or payed on Tuesday will be shipped the following week.We currently do not ship, when the weather is below 40 F during the day in the customer area. No live arrival when using USPS priority We only guarantee live arrival on Fedex overnight. We will replace the live fish, but customer will pay shipping again. We recommend using USPS hold for pick up when the weather is getting cold. Lows in the 40 F at night The coldest time for the shipment is in the truck on the final leg of the trip.
