Description

Auction is for one bunch of Ceratophyllum demersum or Hornwort. Also known as coontail, it has a tight hairlike foliage and helps to oxygenate and clarify ponds and aquariums. It is appropriate for both. In aquariums, it can sometimes outgrow its space and need to be thinned, but it makes a great escape for smaller fish. In ponds the tips will become dark green and tight in the late fall and drop to the bottom where they will stay until spring when they will emerge, regrow and repopulate your pond. During regular growth it is a nice rich green and growth tips that are actively growing will be a slight brown/green color. It can be anchored or just left to float as it does very well either way.

Auction is for one bunch but you may buy an additional bunch for 2.25 with no added shipping cost.
