Description

Rotala sp. "Pearl" is a recent addition to the hobby and its origins is not confirmed. It has unique small leaves (green on top and purplish underneath) that are very striking. It can thrive in moderate light but strong light is necessary to bring out its full potential. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water and the addition of CO2. How to plant your tissue culture plants: Remove plant from packaging Rinse and wash away any gel/liquid Divide plant into 6-8 portions Plant directly into your substrate Each pot has a diameter of 60mm. All tissue culture plants are free from snails, algae and pesticides. The cups can be kept for a relatively long time before planting (sometimes weeks) meaning you can plant when you are ready. Keep in a cool place, sub 20 degrees and out of direct sunlight. Tissue culture plants are young plants with strong roots and are in much better health than their potted versions. Only open cups before planting to avoid contamination. CO2 and good fertilization will promote healthy growth. If buying more than one plant I combine shipping, please check out my other plant items. Shipping will be by USPS priority mail 1-4 days. I charge a flat $6.50 for shipping no matter how many plants you order.
