Description

Eichhornia diversifolia is a fast growing, attractive plant, suitable for the mid-background. It has unique palm-like, light green, crown, which is rarely seen in other aquatic plants, and is seldom offered at your local pet store.

This attractive and rare plant is not recommended for low-tech tank, yet not difficult as long as some basic requirements are met. Relatively strong lighting is recommended for best result, otherwise the lower leaf may shed and turn black. CO2 injection is also recommended for large, vigorous stems. Nitrate and phosphate fertilization will encourage healthy growth as well.

Once acclimated, it grows really fast and side shoots will develop. Simply replant the side shoots and they will develop into adult plant soon.
