Description

Staurogyne repens is a green, compact NEW RARE FOREGROUND plant discovered by the famed Tropica company in River Rio Cristalino of Brazil and it is still rare to come by in the hobby.

Not really hard to grow, this plant likes medium to high light and CO2 injection. It grows very slowly, which means low maintenance as compared to other typical rampant foreground plants that require trimming at least bi-weekly.

It creeps horizontally and will gradually form a carpet. Tropica recommends to cut off the long vertical shoots in order to stimulate the compact and more attractive growth form.

The sale is for one plant - (Note: this quantity will be just a starter for an amazing foreground in your aquarium, not an instant carpet!)

Availability is very limited due to their slow growth rate. In Japan, this rare plant sells as high as 1800 Yen ($20) a pot!
