Description

Hi Folks, It has been a really long time since I have done one of these. This is what I call a " SNE Progressive auction." E ch day I will add at l. east one item to this auction. This auction, itself, will end at 10pm right at the end of regular SNE on Saturday night-- yes this one coming!! ok Lets start out with 2 Anubias coffeefolia medium small plants. 2 Of them!! These are a standard Anubias barteri but develop bit of purple on leaf stems and underside of leaves develop a creamed coffee color with some additional purple hues. Shipping will be flat rate of 10.00 on this auction once it is closed.. I promise there will be plenty of things added to make the shipping worthwhile. I started with Anubias which of course be attached to rock or driftwood.. Hmmm, maybe That is coming up next?? LOL

Also not: This is gonna be abox on its own so I will not ( probably ) be able to combine this with SNE wins.. BUT, if I can I will. ok lets hold off on wood for now and add instead One Nymphoides hydrophylla sp. Taiwan pic of one here: https://imgur.com/a/FFsMRnQ These are a cool lily style plant.. in a lot of ways they are a banana plant without the bananas!! Submerged leaves are a translucent medium light green much like Aponogeton ulvaceus. They grow readily in most any substrate though some iron IN the substrate will make them more productive. New plants come on the underside of leaves.

ok Let's put a piece of Malaysian Driftwood into the mix.. Piece B2. It is 10" X 2.5" X 3.5" with lots of nooks and crannies to fit these Anubias in. I think it would look much better sitting up the tall way. It is not a small driftwood and weighs about 1.8 pounds. That means there is some wood to work with on this here is a pic

OK. Today is Thurday and I think it should be Moss-day. So let's add a nice clump of Willow Moss, Fontinalis antipyretica. this is a pretty easy moss taking any light from low to high but the higher the light is the more dense it will grow. it can be tied to rocks where it will attach itself or wood or plastic mesh to make a moss wall. You can leave it loose and free floating and it will make a nice mass. I like it attached to something solid so it knows which way to weep..lol here is a pic now that I have that part figured out.

I'll be adding more stuff shortly-- IF you have a request let me know.. Thanks

I am going to add a couple things tonight.. Lets start with a nice mat clump of Ludwigia palustris. very similar to L. repens but much smaller in form and it develops a coppery color in higher light. this is grown fully quatic so really no adjustment needed.. it is grown as a dense mat.. I left some of the soil on it for the pic because it will be happier that way until packed but when I pack it I WILL clean the roots off much better than in the pic.

now lets add a nice clump of Crypt lucens. this si a dense clump of fully aquatic growth. you CAN pull it apart or you can leave it as is plnt it and watch it get bigger around. C. Lucens is a very easy Crypt with thin dark green lance like leaves. Ir is not a huge tall Crypt an d generally is used more as foreground to front of midground and is one of the least likely to melt when moved. here is a pic

and now that I know how to do it right-- here is a pic of the Nymphoides hydrophylla Taiwan

I am gonna add a few things in today. Lets start with 5Green Jungle Val Variety Wavy Leaf.. These are pretty cool. the leaf has a regular deep bullation in it that causes it to be wavy. these are a broad leaf variety of Val like all Jungle Vals and are a bright green. I have been growing these for years and never really offered them out so here is an unusual type of Jungle Val and 5 of them included here-- This is a pic

I have neglected the surface of the water til now, so I am going to add 2 portions of Asian Water Grass, Hygroryza aristata. For a floater this is oe of the easiest to deal with in a home tank. It handles itself well with overflows from filters unlike Azolla, Red Root Floaters and Amazon frogbit. medium light is fine- and on the tank surface, medium light is hard to avoid..lol. this is a true grass and each leaf grows its own floating base. 2 multiple node lengths (about 4" long each)of Asian water grass. here is a pic

now things are moving. Thanks for your bids guys. OK now I am going to add some Bolbitis heudelotii, African Water Fern. one of the nicest looking ferns for Aquatiums, IMHO. easy to care for and can grow quite large.. Some water flow over its leaves will encourage size to new growth. and here is a pic.

I am gonna throw in a Large Aponogeton crispus. Semi translucent leaves with strongly ruffled edges. comes from a " bulb" and is an easy grower.. gets tall and full of leaves.. do not be afraid to trim some outer leaves off this occasionally. This is one of the few Aponogetons that is self fertile so when it blooms you will get little green balls that are little " bulbs." Most any light level will do but med low means it will get extremely full and fill out a large space for you. Here's a pic

this is probably gonna be my last add on tonight. I am talking in chat with someone I have not chatted with for a f ew years so trying to get rest of auctions llisted an d add here and relist and I am falling behind but anyway her e is a madagascar lace plant.. Much more developed an d mature than the picture but picture will gibe ya an idea of the plant .. her e is a pic
