Description

It is time to trim and here is an opportunity for you to pick up some new plants.  Just sold a package and have enough for a second auction.  After this auction it will be another month before I have more to offer.   I’m not a dealer and only have a few aquariums.  My collection of plants is varied but quantities are smaller.  Look at this auction as a “plant sampler.”  It is an opportunity to try some new plants to see how they look in your aquarium and see which ones will grow for you.  I am even offering a few that are harder to find.   I use very clean practices with my aquariums.  All my plants were bleached when initially added to my aquariums or came from bleached setups.  This means no snails and no nasty hair algae.

Shipping is set at a flat rate of $9.00 for priority mail.

Here is what is included in this auction:

Hyptis lorentziana –  One, (two inch cutting).  This plant is not seen very often. Pretty with purplish color on the top leaves.  Unique plant.   Plant Finders says: “From the Lamiaceae, or mint family. Ranging from Venezuela to Uruguay and Argentina. At present, this plant is not yet available from any retailer. While it is still quite rare in the hobby, there are a growing number of hobbyists around the world that keep it. In time, it will become more widely available

Ammannia Gracilis – One (three inch cutting). Very red plant from West Africa. Plant Finder says: “Ammania gracilis is the most popular aquarium plant of its genus. Although uncommon in stores, it should not be too hard to obtain through a local club or through trading

Ludwigia  arcuata x repens – Two (four inch cuttings) This is a beautiful deep red plant with larger leaves than regular ludwigia.

Echinodorus bleheri 'compacta' – One (Three inch plant).  This is an Amazon sword plant variant of E. bleheri and is great for aquariums 29 gallons and under.  Very hardy and stays smaller.

Hygrophila Compacta ‘stricta’ – One (two inch cutting with three sets of leaves).  Low growing plant.  Will grow in moderate and low light aquariums.

Hygrophila  sp. ‘Tiger’ – Harder to find.  Three (three inch cuttings).  Beautiful mottled leaf pattern. Another amazingly easy plant from South America that will thrive in most lighting.

Hygrophila sp. ‘Bold‘ – (Harder to Find) one,  two inch cutting.  Pretty plant that shows best under high lighting. Slower growing.
