Description

I would like to make a comeback

They call me PAPA

Pick A Plant Auctions

I am probably best known for putting together "custom" packages within your budget or package auctions of "my choice".  I still want to be known for that, but I would like to put the choice and creation in your hands.

The idea is very simple.

I am going to concentrate on groups of similar types of plants.  Tell you a little bit about each one in that group and let YOU DECIDE which ones you would like in YOUR PACKAGE!

NOT ONLY THAT

I am going to offer you the best quality plants at the best BOTTOM DOLLAR.

So check out my all my PAPA auctions and pick and choose as many as you like and take advantage of mixing and matching with one or multiple PAPA auctions.

How About Easy Crypts!

Key points on Crypts

Crypts make great substitutes for harder plants that look similar

Some grow in clumps and be easily divided to fill your tank or new one

Our crypts don't melt, they just acclimate.  Big Difference!

Crypts have the least requirements of just about any group of plants

Crypts do not like to be transplanted which is why they have a bad reputation for "melting" but have no fear!

If you would like to read more on other plants I deal in please visit my website and click on plants, otherwise we may never get to what is for sale.

Enough TALK

Let's DEAL

This auction is for Potted Crypts.  You pick 'em, I ship 'em.

The deal is simple.  I am going to show you the crypts I commonly deal with and tell you a little about each one.

Then it's your turn to decide which ones you would like to try.  You may order just one or as many as you want.  You may order all of the same or mix and match.  It is TOTALLY UP TO YOU.

Ok, so what's the price?

How about $3 a pot plus shipping?  That sounds good to me how about you?

Ok so how much is shipping? Well, I have thought long and hard about this and I think everyone knows by now that I care about crap like that.  The cheapest I can ship is about $5 so how does that sound?

Ok so if you buy one plant for $3 and add $5 for shipping, then that means you just spent $8 for a plant.  Well, I have to be honest with you here.  I think that's crap.  $8 for one plant ins't a deal unless it is simply your only option.

So what if I told you that you could buy up to 10 pots and still only pay $5 shipping?  NOW WE ARE TALKING DEALS HERE!!

So $3 a pot for as many as you want plus shipping as follows

1-10 pots $3 each add $5 shipping
11-19 pots $3 each add $10 shipping
20-36 pots $3 each add $14 shipping
37+ pots *$2.50 each email for quote

*Price good for ANY potted plant on or combined with ANY PAPA auction except for Anubias unless to save on shipping ONLY.  Please email if you have questions.

That's the best bottom line deal I can offer you folks.

So let's look at your choices

Cryptocoryne Ciliata

Here is a good example of substituting a crypt for another plant.  Cilita looks very similar to a sword plant but isn't near a fussy.  It will however enjoy higher light, but will still do well under fluorescents.  It's height has an advantage which allows them to survive and even propagate in lower light conditions.  This plant grows in a dense clump with new leaves that shoot from the base as horns that gently unroll to form a new leaf.  Easy, slow growing and undemanding are words that make both advanced and beginner hobbyists smile.  These pots ship out around 6-12" with 3-6 leaves and can grow as tall as 12-18" tall.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Moderat - Bright

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Lutea

This is one of my favorite crypts.  Narrow oval leaves attached to long slender stems.  Lutea is also commonly referred to as walkeri and once this plant spreads it forms a dense clump of leaves.  One of the easiest crypts to grow and one that will tolerate the most conditions.  These pots ship out around 6-8" with loads of leaves and may acclimate in your tank to a smaller height which makes them a good mid-ground or even foreground plant.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Undemanding

Temp:  72-86 F (22-30 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Parva

This crypt is POPULAR!  Parva is one of the true foreground plants in the crypt family.  This plant may present certain challenges as it really needs bright light.  However, just because the other crypts will live in lower light doesn't mean they won't enjoy going along.  In fact, they may actually look better or even color up.  Parva will also do better in a nice substrate like BBB and as it spreads it will look more and more like thick blades of grass.  Pots ship out full around 2-3" tall and may shorten once established in your tank.

Took years to get but so far so good!

Light:  Bright - Very Bright

Temp:  77-82 F (25-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Spiralis

Are you looking for a tall reed-like plant like a val?  Then spiralis is your answer.  Once this plant gets established in your tank, you will understand why it is called spiralis.  This plant will grow in clumps that can be separated and occasionally will send a runner under the substrate.  These pots typically ship around 8-12" and may transform in your aquarium growing up to 24" tall.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Moderate

Temp:  68-86 F (20-30 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Undulata

This plant undulates sending leaves at various heights and as high as 14"  Typically the leaves will be dark green in the right light and may lighten up in lower light situations.  This plant will also transform in your tank from a broad smooth leaf to a crinkled narrow leaf.  Pots are shipped at about 4-6" tall.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Medium - Bright

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Wendtii Bronze

All wendtii crypts are basically the same except for the color variations.  The colors sometimes vary on the light.  This plant will grow in clumps that can be pulled apart and spread around or simply left alone.  Like undulata, wendtii will transform in your tank from a broad smooth leaf to a narrowed crinkled leaf.  Pots are typically shipped out around 4-8" and can vary in heights in your aquarium.

Almost ALWAYS in stock

Light:  Moderate - Bright

Temp: 75-82 F (24-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red

All wendtii crypts are basically the same except for the color variations.  The colors sometimes vary on the light.  This plant will grow in clumps that can be pulled apart and spread around or simply left alone.  Like undulata, wendtii will transform in your tank from a broad smooth leaf to a narrowed crinkled leaf.  Pots are typically shipped out around 4-8" and can vary in heights in your aquarium.

Almost ALWAYS in stock

Light:  Moderate - Bright

Temp:  75-82 F (24-28 C)

pH:  6-8

HIT OR MISS

Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green and that THORN IN MY SIDE Florida Sunset

Other popular Crypts

The wendtii green has somewhat disappeared from being a common staple but it may or may not return in the potted variety.

FLORIDA SUNSET is one that I KNOW snuck out before it's time, of course was in high demand, but then locked up for years now...good thing I went away!  Last batch I was told did not do well so the wait continues.

Other popular ones that are sold only in bare root may be available like Balansae, Retrospiralis and a few I won't mention because if I get them....you will know!

The plants listed on the left are probably available, it only takes and email to find out if you would really like them.

bayleespapa@aol.com

Please also note that this auction may not reflect current stock issues.  If any are not available, we will try to note it.  Please only email about stock on the hit or miss ones.  Otherwise please feel free to place your bid and email your choices with payment.  If there is a problem you will be notified to make another selection.

So there you have it folks.  Plenty of potted crypts for you to choose from at only $3 a pot plus shipping.
