Description

I would like to make a comeback

They call me PAPA

Pick A Plant Auctions

I am probably best known for putting together "custom" packages within your budget or package auctions of "my choice".  I still want to be known for that, but I would like to put the choice and creation in your hands.

The idea is very simple.

I am going to concentrate on groups of similar types of plants.  Tell you a little bit about each one in that group and let YOU DECIDE which ones you would like in YOUR PACKAGE!

NOT ONLY THAT

I am going to offer you the best quality plants at the best BOTTOM DOLLAR.

So check out my all my PAPA auctions and pick and choose as many as you like and take advantage of mixing and matching with one or multiple PAPA auctions.

How About Swords!

Key points on Swords

Perfect for angels and discus to lay eggs on and EXCITING!

Ideal for large tanks that are DEEP because even the compacta grows 14" tall

They prefer moderate to bright light, but they grow tall so you can get away with being cheap on lighting.

Ideal background plants to hide crap you don't want to look at or even hide that cheesy backdrop you bought.

They do eat up nutrients and even store them, so a GOOD substrate like BBB is recommended along with occasional plant tabs inserted near roots.....they could give a rip about liquid ferts.

Consider adding iron, especially if you see leaves turning yellow.

Basically there is no sword in nature that grows fully submerged, but YOU can train them!

If you keep ancistrus, then I can put you on a weekly sword program because they LOVE THEM!

If you would like to read more on other plants I deal in please visit my website and click on plants, otherwise we may never get to what is for sale.

Enough TALK

Let's DEAL

This auction is for Potted Swords.  You pick 'em, I ship 'em.

The deal is simple.  I am going to show you the sword plants I commonly deal with and tell you a little about each one.

Then it's your turn to decide which ones you would like to try.  You may order just one or as many as you want.  You may order all of the same or mix and match.  It is TOTALLY UP TO YOU.

Ok, so what's the price?

How about $3 a pot plus shipping?  That sounds good to me how about you?

Ok so how much is shipping? Well, I have thought long and hard about this and I think everyone knows by now that I care about crap like that.  The cheapest I can ship is about $5 so how does that sound?

Ok so if you buy one plant for $3 and add $5 for shipping, then that means you just spent $8 for a plant.  Well, I have to be honest with you here.  I think that's crap.  $8 for one plant ins't a deal unless it is simply your only option.

So what if I told you that you could buy up to 10 pots and still only pay $5 shipping?  NOW WE ARE TALKING DEALS HERE!!

So $3 a pot for as many as you want plus shipping as follows

1-10 pots $3 each add $5 shipping
11-19 pots $3 each add $10 shipping
20-36 pots $3 each add $14 shipping
37+ pots *$2.50 each email for quote

*Price good for ANY potted plant on or combined with ANY PAPA auction except for Anubias unless to save on shipping ONLY.  Please email if you have questions.

That's the best bottom line deal I can offer you folks.

So let's look at your choices

Amazon Sword

Amazon swords are probably the most common and even used like Coke instead of pop.  Amazon swords can grow big with big leaves.  That means big and wide, so be ready for this thing to out grow your tank.  These pots normally ship out around 8-12" tall and after it sheds it's leaves and replaces them, you can expect it to grow 20" or more.  Amazons are also one of the more easier and hardy swords to try.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Bright

Temp:  75-82 F (24-28 C)

pH:  6-9

Indian Red Sword

This is a hybrid sword which is probably a spin from the Horemanii Black-Red Amazon which usually is green.  The Indian Red was probably developed from a variation that was dark red-green.  The submerged form will have longer wavy leaves rather than broad rounded leaves in the terrestrial form.  These pots ship out around 8-12" and this plant might make a good specimen in the middle as it doesn't get as tall as the Amazon.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Bright

Temp:  68-77 F (20-25 C)

pH: 6-8

Kleiner Bar Sword

Another hybrid and favorite of the sword hobbyist for it's ease in growing.  Quite possibly the easiest next to the amazon.  These pots are shipped out around 8-12" and after transforming in your tank will have longer more elegant leaves and grow to around 20"

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Moderate

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Oriental Sword

Another great hybrid developed for the aquarium hobby.  This one's leaves change slightly in shape once immersed and has a very "full" look to it with many leaves per plant.  Another great back to put in the back or the middle, but be careful as these things have been know to get HUGE.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Moderate

Temp:  72-79 F (22-26 C)

pH:  6-8

Ozelot "Green" Sword

A domesticated sword that unlike the ozelot, the "green" stays green rather than dark or red.  The leaves of the terrestrial form may have marbling from the sun only to loose that underwater and have weird shaped leaves instead of the typical broad.  These pots will ship out at 8-12" and can be another great specimen sword able to tolerate a wide range of conditions.

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Medium - Bright

Temp:  72-86 F (22-30 C)

pH: 6-8

Ozelot Sword

This hybrid looks very similar to the "green", but only when they are both grown immersed.  Once this one goes under, the leaves lengthen and the veins pop out.  A much darker color with hints of red makes this guy a great specimen sword or across the back.  These pots ship out around 8-12" tall and are easy to grow in terms of demands, but remember, it's still a sword.

Almost ALWAYS in stock

Light:  Medium - Strong

Temp: 72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Radican Marble Queen Sword

The name says it all.  This marble queen will add interest to any boring aquascape.  A relatively easy sword to grow, it will do much better the more light is involved.  These pots ship out around 8-12" tall and it will probably change slightly and grow over 16".

Almost ALWAYS in stock

Light:  Moderate - Strong

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Rangeri Sword

I kind of like this sword because it reminds me of cryptocoryne lutea.  Plus it isn't a hybrid but from South America.  Just a basic smaller leaf sword that doesn't change much after going under.  These pots ship out just like every other sword at 8-12" and I actually have NO IDEA how big this thing will truly get so how about 16-24".

Almost ALWAYS in stock

Light:  Moderate

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

Red Flame Sword

I should not even offer these swords in this deal because they a smokin hot.  They are easy to grow and the better the light, the better the color.  Not much changes in the shape of the leaves or the colors once acclimated.  This is a great specimen plant.  These pots ship out around 6-12" and probably grow to an average size of 16-18".

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light:  Moderate - Bright

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  5-8

Red Rubin Sword

This is one hybrid that I will probably need to put another picture of up to show what it transforms into.  Just pick this one and thank me later when the leaves stretch and narrow and get dark and full of color with light veins.  Another easy hybrid for the hobby that surprisingly enough doesn't have to have a blinding light.  These pots will ship out at 6-12" and these thing will grow rather large making any aquarium POP!

Almost ALWAYS in stock.

Light: Moderate

Temp:  72-82 F (22-28 C)

pH:  6-8

HIT OR MISS

You want these, let me know.  I only have so much room ya know.
