Up for auction is one baby Red Fin Pickerel. This fish is 3 1/2 inches long. The bottom photo shows the actual fish that is up for auction. I've included another picture of an 8 inch adult from this population.
Pickerel need live food. I am feeding this one young Heterandria formosa. You will need to be able to supply this fish with live foods. It will grow to around 10 inches, give or take and will be a voracious eater.
I collect these fish in tannin rich waters and I keep them in mostly RO water with varying amounts of peat to simulate their natural habitat. While you do not have to use peat I would recommend keeping it in soft clean water.
This fish is healthy, eating, and thriving. It will be up to YOU to provide it with conditions to guarantee that it continues to do so.
