You are bidding on one pair of Sheepshead Pupfish, Cyprinodon variegates. These are US native tidal marsh fish, some of which I caught as fry last summer and raised, some I caught recently as adults. The females have striking black on gray patterning, while the males patterning is more muted, but with metallic blue irridescence on the front dorsal area. The blue flashes so brightly in the light it appears to glow. Body length is about 2" to 2.5". This species, like the wild mollies I also offer, are very flexible in terms of salinity and overall water quality. I am presently keeping them in freshwater with only 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons aquarium salt, but they are just as comfortable in brackish water. They are good eaters and haven't rejected any of the dry or frozen foods I've offered, including flakes, granules, dried kelp and brine shrimp. This species isgenerally fine with others, not fin-nippers or predatory, but the male may become territorial in a region of the tank, so I wouldn't recommend any size smaller than a 20 gallon, and preferablyplanted and/or hard-scaped. I have heard these are easy to breed but I haven't yet attempted it. You will see their intelligence in how quickly they adapt to your tank and dance at the glass for you to feed them--not hiding scardy-fish!
