I will use a heating pack at no extra charge if necessary. I reserve the right to delay shipping if the weather in your area prohibits shipping. You need to be aware of what your weather is going to be like as well. These Florida native fish are very resistant to cold and ship well during the Winter. However, blizzards and such will cause delays. Be intelligent and don't expect miracles. I offer no guarantees this time of year. Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail. Unless otherwise noted, shipping will be $10 on top of whatever he auction closes at. Up for auction are at least 6 Pygmy Sunfish, Elassoma okefenokee. These are young adults, collected in Lake County, Florida. These are wild caught fish, tanked and doing well. There will be both sexes in your group. I am keeping these in mostly RO water with a fraction of hard tap water. They are eating live foods. I use live newly hatched brine shrimp primarily. The picture below depicts fish from this population that I auctioned off a couple years ago. The top picture shows normal coloration for females and males when not sexually active when in a proper environment. The bottom picture shows a male in breeding color, something they do most of the time if fed properly and given adequate tank conditions. Pygmy Sunfish do best in small tanks by themselves. Low water current and plants and a fine substrate suit them. Do not buy these and dump them in an open community tank. They don't do well if they have to compete for food. The fish are healthy, colorful, eating, and thriving. It will be up to YOU to provide them with conditions to guarantee that they continue to do so.
