****READ ENTIRE AUCTION BEFORE BIDDING!**** FREE SHIPPING. Up for auction are 10 small juvenile unsexed Pygmy Sunfish. These are Elassoma evergladei collected in Volusia County, Florida. These are small juveniles, not yet sexually mature. They are just beginning to show gender characteristics, I will do what I can to see to it you have both sexes. I cannot make any guarantees though. With a group this large though you are all but certain to have both sexes.

PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE YOUR RESEARCH, ARE FAMILIAR WITH PYGMY SUNFISH REQUIREMENTS REGARDING WATER QUALITY AND FOOD, AND KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY ACCLIMATE FISH AFTER SHIPPING, THANK YOU.

These fish will require live foods, do best in quiet smaller tanks with lots of plants and decor like rocks and bits of driftwood. Bare tanks do not suit them. Please don't bid on these if you are not well versed in providing small live foods. I am feeding these live baby brine shrimp.

If you have never hatched brine shrimp and want to learn an easy method, visit my little site that shows you how. A perfect method for beginners. www.hatchingbrineshrimp.weebly.com

These fish are in clean, fresh water. They have never been exposed to salt, medications, chemicals like Prime, Stresscoat, and other poisons that aquarists seem compelled to add to their tanks. Please keep this in mind when acclimating.

The picture provided was taken by Daniel Kennedy and shows an adult male from this population in regular non breeding color. Adult males become almost black when in the presence of mature breeding females. You need to be familiar with Pygmy Sunfish and their needs to assure these fish grow out and reach their potential. Small live foods are a must.

These fish are healthy, eating, and thriving. It will be up to YOU to provide them with conditions to guarantee that they continue to do so.

I am available to answer any questions about these fish or this auction, do not bid if you are unsure about anything. Please do your research. Thank you.
