Please read entire auction before bidding. Shipping is $13 on top of whatever the auction closes at. Up for auction are an adult trio of Everglades Pygmy Sunfish. This will be one male,,,and two females. I will also toss in several unsexed tiny ones that will grow out and give you more breeders. The picture at the bottom of the page shows what the males look like when in breeding colors. The males almost continuously show this color when in the presence of females and as long as the tank and environment are to their liking. If you ever wanted to start breeding these fish, this is an ideal little package to get you started. They are very easy to breed, easy to raise, and rugged little fish once acclimated to your tank. These fish require live foods. I am using newly hatched brine shrimp. They can be fed other small live foods like micro worms, small daphnia, scuds, and things like this. They can be kept in a relatively small tank, a ten gallon tank would serve this group well. They don't need much water movement, a small sponge filter would be efficient. They need a planted tank. They will be happier with rocks and small pieces of driftwood to give them little territories and hiding places. Do not buy these and put them into a bare tank. Do not buy these if you are not well versed in live foods. Do not buy these if you are dead set on using chemicals, salt, and medications. These fish are healthy, colorful, eating, and thriving. It will be up to YOU to provide them with conditions to guarantee that they continue to do so.
