****READ***** Shipping will be on TUESDAY, 4-16, weather permitting. I am going to pack these fish in a box with styro and a 72 hour heat pack if necessary. I am asking you to use common sense and be aware of your weather in your own area. If the temps are falling into the 30's and 20's in your area, the fish are at risk. I am making NO GUARANTEES, so it's completely up to you if you bid. Think about it.

Please read entire auction before bidding. Shipping is $13 on top of whatever the auction closes at. Shipping includes a styro lined box with a 72 hour heat pack if necessary. You can combine auctions to save on shipping.

Up for auction are 5 spotted (melanistic) Fundulus chrysotus. This is a particularly amazing strain found in a very small area where the fish have developed into an amazingly colored fish. The picture shows full grown adults at their pinnacle, around 2 and a half to almost 3 inches in length.

You will be receiving a group of 5. Two of these will be a young adult pair, the male will be showing nice orange developing in his tail region, both the male and the female will have lots of spots. As they grow, the colors will intensify. You will also receive 3 unsexed smaller fish that will grow out quickly into magnificent fish and this group could start you off with a wonderful breeding population of the fish pictured.

The fish in the picture were photographed by Daniel Kennedy with an I-phone, with ordinary florescent lighting.

These fish are very easy to breed, they will spawn in mops or bunches of plants like java moss, the fry are very hardy, grow quickly, and there is no reason you shouldn't be able to breed many fish from this group.

These fish are being fed live foods, but like other Fundulus chrysotus, once acclimated to your tank, they will devour just about any foods that hit the water. They will do best if fed small live foods and frozen treats.

These fish are healthy, colorful, eating, and thriving. It will be up to YOU to provide them with conditions to guarantee that they continue to do so.

I am available to answer any questions about these fish or this auction, do not bid if you are unsure about anything. Please do your research. Thank you.
