Up for auction are 4 small Blue Spotted Sunfish. These fish are an inch or so in length and have some growing out to do. Blue Spotted Sunfish do better as far as adapting to captivity when small and these have been in captivity for awhile. They are eating well on live BBS and small live blackworms, along with some frozen bloodworms. I have them in a tank with Fundulus chrysotus, darters, a few Gambusia and they are not shy. Blue Spotted Sunfish show their colors best in a planted tank that offers cover, they do better if there are smaller fish flitting about in the upper waters, no different than dwarf cichlids do. Under the right lighting and tank conditions the Blue Spotted Sunfish offers some of the most spectacular colors of our small native fishes. It will be up to you to provide these fish with the environment and foods they need to stay healthy. These are thriving in medium hard water and are eating great. They are fully acclimated to tank life. I am available to answer any questions about these fish or this auction, do not bid if you are unsure about anything. Please do your research. Thank you.
