Description

Please read my Just Me page before bidding. By bidding you are stating that you have read and agree to my terms as outlined on my Just Me page. Do not bid if you do not agree with my terms.

Pease read entire auction before bidding. Free shipping. Up for auction are 6 Everglades Pygny Sunfish. I will try to include both males and females.

These are fish for the experienced aquarist. Live foods are a must and if you are not well versed in providing this kind of food then you should pass. I am feeding these live baby brine shrimp, small live blackworms, scuds, etc.

When you receive these they will be a brownish color. Once settled in the males will find a territory and will show blue in their fins and spots on their sides. Once breeding commences the males become velvety black with blue spots and lines on their body and fins. The females remain a pinkish brown color.

I do not mislead with carefully taken glam shots that lead buyers into believing they are getting a crazy colored fish, it simply doesn't work that way. In any group you will have one dominant male that shows the most color, and depicted colors in some pictures are light dependant that only show from a certain angle. The picture I put here is an accurate depiction of a male and female once the male is comfortable and is not in breeding/dominant coloration. The bottom picture depicts a male in breeding garb.

The fish I have up for auction are in medium hard water, they will do well in softer water but you should avoid any sudden changes in hardness. PH is not a factor with most fish like people think, pH fluctuates a lot in a 24 hour period in the wild and it is the mineral content of the water that is most critical.

It is imerative that you do not use any chemicals like Prime or Stresscoat or salt with these fish. They have not been exposed to this in the wild or in my tanks and the use of these chemicals will certainly contribute to their death.

I am available to answer any questions you might have about these fish or this auction. Do not bid if you are unsure about anything. Please, do your research.

This auction closes on Sunday night, so as per my terms outlined on my Just Me page, you need to be prepared to settle payment after the auction closes on Sunday night. Thank you.
