Description

Please read entire auction CAREFULLY before bidding. Shipping is free. Payment is by PayPal only. I will be shipping on Tuesday, May 29. I typically ship on Mondays following auction, but Memorial Day will be changing that. You will need to be prepared to settle payment on Monday evening after the auction. If you cannot, then don't bid. I use USPS Priority Mail. Auction is for 2 males & 2 females of Everglades Pygmy Sunfish. They are healthy and eating live foods. I am feeding them baby brine shrimp and small blackworms. These are fish for the experienced aquarist. You need to do your research before bidding. These are small fish, found in very harsh environments here in Central Florida. The water is low in oxygen, zero current, and the water temps start out in the mornings near 70 and soar into the 90's during the heat of the day. They enjoy a quiet, planted tank. They will freely breed once acclimated to a suitable environment. When you receive the fish they will all be a washed out brownish color. Once the males are comfortable they will show blue spots and fins as the picture shows. The female will remain brownish. When they breed the male becomes a velvety black with just a few blue spots and the female will be a lighter brown, almost a pinkish brown. Please plan on putting the effort into taking proper care of these fish before bidding. I am available to answer any questions you may have about these fish or this auction. I do not use any chemicals in any of my fish tanks, I do not use salt. These fish are collected in pure fresh water and that is what I keep them in. These fish have been slowly acclimated to medium hard water. Thank you for looking.
