This easy to keep little fish is very interesting in several ways. In addition to the spines before their dorsal fins, Brook Sticklebacks have a unique shape in that the rear dorsal and anal fins mirror one another, and when viewed together form a wedge-shape preceding a narrow tail and then a rather large caudal fin. The pectoral fins are large too. When ready to spawn the male creates a closed-ended tubular nest from bits of vegetation then works to attract a female. Once seduced she enters the nest, lays her eggs, and busts out through the back of the tube. The male takes care of the eggs and guards the young until they leave. Shipping is $17 to almost anywhere in the US. Check with me before bidding if you are West of The Rockies. Live arrival guarantee. In the event of DOA I will ship replacements at my cost.
