Description

2 Tank Raised - Tylomelania - Small Yellow Spotted Rabbit Snail Babies. Photos are examples of some of the babies taken with a macro lens (most of them are 1/4" or larger). Two will be randomly selected from those available in my aquarium. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.

This species of rabbit snail is incredibly rare. It took me two years to find enough for a small breeding population! They have unique markings are are all very beautiful. These babies come from my aquarium of wild caught adults and are very genetically diverse in spot size and pattern.

Payment must be by paypal only. Please pay by Friday evening as I ship on Saturdays (The snails will typically arrive Monday or Tuesday. Shipping is $15 priority mail and includes styrofoam box, insulation, cold pack and tracking number. Shipping is non-refundable. I will ship ONLY within the continental United States (excluding Maine)

In the rare event of DOA, you must contact me within 2 hours of delivery. I will refund the cost of any DOA snails divided by the winning bid price and excluding any freebies (I don't always send freebies unless specified in the auction as I do not always have enough available to do so -- the way I pack they very rarely die in shipment). IF you know it is hot or cold where you are, please allow the snails to be held at your post office or delivered to your work. I am not responsible if you select delivery and then leave them outside in extreme temperatures!

These are very easy to care for. I suggest people keep them in a plastic fish breeder box with lid (they will crawl out) for a couple months to protect them from aggressive fish and so that they can be observed to make sure they are getting enough food and calcium. Add a piece of cuttlebone and they can be fed snello (how to make snello), frozen thawed green beans, zucchini, algae/veggie fishfood without copper etc. They can eat plants but usually don't if well fed. These neat snails will not overrun your aquarium. Yellow rabbit snail females bear one baby each month. They are male and female and only reproduce sexually and don't "switch genders". For this reason, it's important to get at least 6 to get both genders since they cannot be visually sexed.
