The photos were just taken (5/21) and are of the group yours will be chosen from. They vary a lot, both light and dark bodies, varying intensity of the amber shell and number of spots. Although similar to the wild type, these don't get nearly as dark when full sized adults. They are coming from a single color tank but you may get the occasional snail with a clear shell (instead of amber) or no spots at all (click for pic). They are all bigger than BBs and up to at least pea sized.
What never shows up well in pictures is how the air bubble they carry trapped in their shell looks when the light hits it. Photos don't see in stereo like our eyes do and you don't get the sparkle effect that you do when you view them in the tank. I tried though, you can kind of see what I mean below. It looks the best on the ones with no spots.

No, I cannot just sell a few as a stand alone order. But if you are buying something else and there is room in the box I will add a few for free. The snails you will receive are young and very healthy. At this size they are easy to handle, easy to ship, acclimate easily and most of all aren't about to die of old age. You won't be getting big snails which are at the end of their reproductive lifespan. That's what those large ones are, OLD.
The winner will receive a comprehensive care sheet which can be downloaded and printed if desired. Briefly, no acidic water, no soft water, no big fish. They will eat soft algae if hungry but live plants only if starving. Temps up to 80F. These make good companions for guppies, nano fish and easy shrimp.

Term details are on my Just Me page which was updated May 2nd 2014. Read it before bidding.
Payment is through PayPal only (you do not need an account, just a credit card), no e-checks. When paying with PayPal, you must use a shipping address, my account is configured to only accept PayPal Confirmed Addresses.
Shipping is postage for 2 pounds from 01888, $5.32 to $9.97. You can check that cost yourself at usps.com, it will be much faster than asking me for a quote, use the online price, not the post office price. I ship to PO Boxes if it's Confirmed Address.
This will be shipped in an insulated box with a generous amount of water. The insulation and large volume of water will greatly slow temperature changes and should be sufficient protection against brief exposure to hot or cold. It is not enough for extreme conditions, no shipping to locations with highs of 85F and up. Check your forecast!
Shipping will be delayed if extreme weather may endanger the snails, ...it's a hobby not an organ transplant!
LAG for 30 snails for 3 days if >30F and <80F.
Some of my other auctions may be combined with this for savings on shipping costs.
