Description

Pick 2, your choice!

15+ Malaysian Trumpet Snails: They range in length from 1/4" to 3/4". These snails reproduce asexually and by parthenogenesis--basically a live-birth 'clone'. The snails are both male and female (hermaphroditic) but primarily reproduce by cloning copies of themselves. Thus, 1 snail is all you need to start your own colony. However, it's a good idea to introduce 'new blood' occasionally to diversify the genetic pool. Each snail is capable of giving birth to up to 50 live babies at a time, though they do not seem to grow very fast. Trumpet snails eat the usual leftover food, algae, and dead organic matter. As an added bonus, they also eat detritus (fish waste). These snails burrow in the substrate and are great for planted tanks.

10+ Ramshorn snails: These snails range in size from dime to pea-sized. Ramshorn snails reproduce asexually, so two snails are capable of breeding with each other and each snail will lay eggs.Ramshorns do well in both cold (not freezing!) and tropical water tanks, so can be kept with any fish that won't eat them. They are also good as live food for puffers and certain types of loaches. Most of the snails will be dark colored or brown, but you should get a few red/pink snails also. I don't have any blue ramshorns.

15+ Bladder/Tadpole snails: These snails range in size from BB to about pea sized. They are hermaphroditic, meaning they are both male and female. Thus, they reproduce very quickly. They do well in all water temperatures but breed best in tropical temperatures. These are also good for feeding puffers and loaches.

All snails are great for cleaning up excess food, algae, and dead plant material. Each of these snails is plant-safe, meaning they won't eat live plants in your aquarium.

Pick 2, your choice! If requested, I can separate the species into separate bags. You can also double up on one type of snail if you like.

Priority shipping is in an insulated USPS priority box and is based on your zip code for a 2# package. Heat packs are available for $2 if you need one. First-class shipping is 13 oz. in a non-insulated box (only available for ramshorn and bladder snails at this time). Please send me a message about the types of snail(s) you want. I will check the forecasted temps in your area to determine if you need heat, then send an invoice to the email address associated with your Aquabid account. Postal money order is also acceptable, please let me know if you wish to send a money order instead. Live arrival guaranteed, replacements (buyer pays shipping) or refund on cost of snails only provided for DOA.
Mystery snails are no longer available for this listing.
