15 + 5 Pink Ramshorns

Shown below are a few of the available snails. Click on a photo (stays in same window) to see some pics from the past at different ages and in different lighting, any variations are environmental, they are genetically the same.

The snails you will receive will be small to large pea sized, approximately 1/4" to 3/8"+ and many of them will be breeding already, and yes, they breed true. I do not ship older large snails which are past their prime, less likely to ship & acclimate well and may die of old age soon after you receive them. The shells will be very good to excellent, They may not be flawless but won't have erosion (frosted areas), pitting or cracks. These are healthy vigorous snails which have been eating well while keeping fry tanks clean for me!

FYI, ALL Pink Ramshorns are complete albinos, there is no pink pigment, just their red blood. ALL Pink Ramshorns are brighter in warmer water and more pastel in cooler water, it varies only with how much hemoglobin is in their blood, more in warm, less in cool. ALL Pink Ramshorns have completely colorless shells, quite clear when young then gradually becoming translucent and nearly opaque when they get old. If the shell erodes or is abraded, the shell will appear frosted or even white. Anyone advertising otherwise either doesn't know what they are talking about or is purposely trying to be deceptive, you decide.

The winner will receive a comprehensive care sheet which can be downloaded and printed if desired. Briefly, no acidic water, no soft water, no big fish. They will eat soft algae if hungry but live plants only if starving. Temps up to 80F. These make good companions for guppies, nano fish and easy shrimp.

Term details are on my Just Me page which was updated January 18th 2013. Read it before bidding.

Payment is through PayPal only (you do not need an account, just a credit card), no e-checks. When paying with PayPal, you must use a shipping address. If you want shipping to an Unconfirmed address, email before bidding/buying to discuss this.

Shipping is postage for 2 pounds from 01888, $5.32 to $9.97. You can check that cost yourself at usps.com, it will be much faster than asking me for a quote, use the online price, not the post office price. I ship to PO Boxes if it's Confirmed Address.

This will be shipped in an insulated box with a generous amount of water but without a heatpack. The insulation and large volume of water will greatly slow temperature changes and should be sufficient protection against brief exposure to temperatures in the 20s. It is not enough for really cold destinations so no shipping to locations with lows of 20F and below, no exceptions, no negotiation, no bitching & whining. Shipping will be delayed when local (the airport) low temps are 20F or below, again, no exceptions, no negotiation, no bitching & whining. Don't like the terms? Don't bid.

Shipping will be delayed if extreme weather may endanger the snails, ...it's a hobby not an organ transplant!

LAG for 15 snails for 3 days if >25F and <85F.

Some of my other auctions may be combined with this for savings on shipping costs.

Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
