This auction is for 20 pea-size or larger ivory mystery snails (pomacea diffusa). Extras will be included in case of DOAs along with some plants for the snails to hang onto. Shipping is $6 for USPS Priority Mail shipping to the continental US. Payment is through PayPal only. Snails will be shipped Mondays or Tuesdays if payment is received by midnight the night prior. Live arrival guarantee is for 20 snails (extras not included) and you may choose either a full refund (shipping price IS included) or a replacement (replacement shipping is free). In case of DOAs a clear photo must be sent within 6 hours of delivery. I will ask you to keep the snails in water for 24 hours to confirm death, after that time period you can choose the refund or replacement.
Snails have a light foot, orange eyes, and ivory shell. These snails eat algae, dead plant material, and leftover fish food. I feed mine blanched zucchini, canned no-salt green beans, Hikari algae wafers, and Hikari sinking wafers. Mine were raised in community tanks with local tap water of pH 8.0, temperature 72-78F, and hardness 12dKH and 18dGH.
Adult snails reach golfball size and larger, a parent snail is pictured below:
