Baby Magenta Mystery Snails.

Starting price is 2 snails for only $1! Many more available at winning bid price.

They were born on June 1st.

And this is how they began.

These are about 0.20" - 0.25" right now (7/10), large BB to small pea size. With good care they grow very quickly, in a couple of weeks they will all be pea sized, a few more weeks they will be dime size.

There is a practical reason for offering these this small. When snails move from one tank to another, there will be a change in the growth of the shell unless the two tanks are IDENTICAL. A change of any of the parameters, and even diet, will affect the growth of new shell and you will get an unattractive growth line. By getting them small like this, that line is going to be covered quickly by subsequent layers of shell. When buying larger snails the growth will be much slower and it will take longer for that line to be covered, if it ever is. This seems to be most noticeable on light footed striped snails like magenta and chestnut.

General care info will be provided to the winner if requested. Briefly, no acidic water, no soft water, no big fish. They will eat soft algae if hungry but most live plants only if starving. Temps up to 80F. These make good companions for nano fish and easy shrimp.

These will be packed in regular poly bags with a lot of air and a little water. If buying more then a few they will be divided between multiple bags.
