Snails will eat leftover food and clean green algae from the glass and surfaces. Many fish eat them also. Snails can easily be controlled in population by feeding them to cichlids,clown loaches,botias,and larger fish. They enjoy a treat of spirulina algae discs or romaine lettuce,green peas,squash.
