The ultimate snail for your aquarium!! Unlike most of the aquatic snails that we find in the hobby, these guys are not hermaphrodites and you wont end up with an uncontrollable population explosion. They lay their eggs above the water line, so if you don't want any more, simply remove the pinkish egg cluster and dispose of it. They won't eat your plants but will clean up the dead leaf litter and uneaten food. They are commonly thought of as apple snails and although they are a relative, they certainly are not the invasive and destructive pest that destroys aquatic vegetation but I hear they taste just as good! The snails you will get are about 1/2" diameter and can reach up to 2" diameter and will look absolutely stunning in a larger tank.
