Melanotaenia Trifasciata "Habgood River"

You will receive 6 unsexed juvenile fish between 1" to 2". These guys are fast-growing for rainbows. I am almost sure you will be able to get both sexes so you can breed them. I obtained these fish as fry from a private breeder that brought his adults in as eggs from Mr. Alex Carslaw in the UK. This strain of Trifasciata is rarely if ever seen in the United States and has grown to be one of the favorite rainbows I keep. Both the male and female show deep violet color with red fins lined with black on the edges under the right lightning and depending on their mood. These fish were raised from eggs by me. All my rainbow varieties are kept in one species tanks to avoid any kind of mix-up. They are very healthy, eating just about anything, and will probably start throwing eggs within the next 3-4 months.

Shipping: I will ship USPS flat rate for $15.50 with no Live Arrival Guarantee. For Live Arrival Guarantee, I will ship UPS 2nd Day Air. This usually runs $20 to $40, depending on your location. If you are interested, send me your city and zip code for a shipping quote. For Live Arrival Guarantee, someone must be home to bring the box in when it arrives. If by the slim chance there is a DOA, I must receive pictures of the fish in the original unopened bag within 2 hours of receiving the fish. I have shipped these guys to a friend in extreme heat that took over a week to arrive and they were fine. They are a very hardy fish. I will ship on the following Monday or Tuesday, depending on your preference. There is no refund on shipping.
