Description

You are bidding on one trio of Rhadinocentrus ornatus (ornate rainbowfish) from Searys Creek that were tank bred/raised by me and are at the age of 9-12 months. The winning bidder has the option to purchase a second trio at the winning bid. Searys Creek (see photos) is located in the Tin Can Bay area 135 miles north of the state capital, Brisbane, in Queensland. I received eggs from Gary Lange (in fall of 2017), who received his fish from Leo OReilly in Australia. Leo keeps over 20 locations of this species and actively breeds 10 of them. Leo noticed that the dominant color form of Searys Creek Rhads in the wild is blue. A small percentage of fish have blue bodies with red tails even fewer have red bodies. By line breeding Leo was able to breed fully red fish starting from blue fish. A few of the fish that I hatched from Garys eggs had red tails, most of them were blue. Following Leos strategy of line breeding I am trying to selectively breed red fish. Almost all my males have now red tails, some females have red tails and some have still blue tails. You will get one adult male with a red tail and some red on the body (similar to the photo) and two adult females with red tail. PAY-PAL Payment ONLY. Payment must be sent within 24 hours of Auction end. USPS Shipping to CONTINENTAL US STATES ONLY. I will ONLY ship on Monday/Tuesday, i.e. if the auction ends on Friday, I expect payment by Saturday evening. I do not fast stock until payment is made. The fish will be shipped the following Monday/Tuesday. Please make sure you will be there to receive package/delivery. Shipping USPS Express estimate is $50. These are estimates only, for exact shipping costs I will need a zip code. I will combine fish from other auctions in one package. Please also check out my other auctions for hillstream loaches. DOA policy (please read before bidding): Live delivery guaranteed ONLY WITH Shipping EXPRESS, delivery time is not guaranteed. I cannot be responsible if the USPS delays the delivery. Refund is given only on fish (or fish will be replaced) (not shipping costs). Picture of DOA fish in shipping bags must be sent within 2 hours of delivery for refund of fish. By placing and winning the bid you have read and agree to these terms.
