Description

Very rare in North America! You are bidding on 4 juvenile Melanotaenia spec. �Running River� that were tank bred/raised by me and are at the age of 4 months. I received my breeders from Johannes Graf in Germany. This slender, mid-sized rainbowfish is from Queensland�s upper tributary of the Burdekin River know as Running River in Australia. This species has been endangered by hybridization with the Eastern Rainbowfish. Peter Unmack and the Australian National University with support from ANGFA members started a crowd funding project to identify genetically pure Running River rainbowfish, breed into numbers and translocate them to a section of the river that has no Rainbowfish. Today, the Running River Rainbowfish population numbers are in the tens of thousands. Its numbers in the creeks are probably similar to the original population in Running River. The photos show my young breeders. The photos show my breeder male. I will do my best to select both females and males thus you can breed the fish, however I do not guarantee a certain gender ratio. If you want to increase your chances of getting both sexes, more fish are available for the winning bidder at the auction price. PAY-PAL Payment ONLY. Payment must be sent within 24 hours of Auction end. USPS Shipping to CONTINENTAL US STATES ONLY. I will ONLY ship on Monday/Tuesday, i.e. if the auction ends on Friday, I expect payment by Saturday evening. I do not fast stock until payment is made. The fish will be shipped the following Monday/Tuesday. Please make sure you will be there to receive package/delivery. Shipping USPS Express estimate is $50.
