Description

You are bidding on 3 pair of fish from -1 inch in size. This fish was originally known as the Red Neon Blue-eye and also incorrectly labeled as Ps. paskai. The come from the area of Papua near the mining town of Timika. This is a small and fairly peaceful Pseudomugil about the size of the Australian Pseudomugil gertrudae, about 1.25 inches or so. Although this fish has been around for a few years it was finally named in a paper, Allen, Unmack and Hadiaty, Fishes of Sahul, March 2016 pg 950-961.

You will need to feed this fish live foods its really not going to do well on flake food. I feed mine a lot of live baby brine shrimp but other small live foods will also do like small daphnia and especially live mosquito larva. Small live black worms can be used, chop if too big as well as chopped frozen bloodworms. When the males are flaring their fins at each other they are a sight to behold. They spin round and round sometimes for minutes at a time. This is a perfect fish for a mini-planted tank 4-10 gallons in size. They are easily bred by providing them a yarn mop, picking the eggs and then incubating them for some 2 weeks.

If youre tired of store bought crossed and washed out junk rainbowfish I have a better suggestion! Buy your rainbowfish from me. If youre tired of seeing auctions that are just foisting the same Far East wholesaler as their own, buy your rainbowfish from me. You get what you pay for I raise and breed more species and location (river) variants of rainbowfish than anyone else in the United States. My rainbowfish are all raised by me and not imported from some offshore farm. My aquariums are carefully marked to ensure that similar species are not mixed up or crossed. So many rainbowfish look very similar when they are small so attention to detail is vital. You will see in my listings rainbowfish that have never been offered EVER in the United States. Youll get prompt and courteous service and youll get some great fish that youll enjoy for years to come.

When the auction ends on Saturday evening I would like to have an email by Sunday morning so I know whether a PayPal payment is coming shortly or whether we are waiting for a MO. Payment must be made within 5 days after the auction ends. If I am shipping on Monday morning your prizes need to have a good water change and go without food for 36 + hours so that they can be shipped to you in optimal shape. Without the 36 hour fast rainbowfish can easily get ammonia burn or worse.

Express mail shipping is $45 or less for those that live closer to St. Louis MO. Save some shipping dollars by buying more than one auction from me. Youll pay the exact shipping price. Rainbowfish really need to have a lot of oxygen to survive. I ship all of my fish in breather bags. Guarantee with immediate (within 2 hours of USPS delivery) digital picture of dead fish - in the bag provides credit for the replacement of DOA fish. Guarantee does not include the cost of shipping. Guarantee does not extend to replacement fish. Happy Bidding!

** so youre in a blizzard, no worries it will end before you know it. Ill hold your fish for a couple of weeks if needed. Heat paks also added when needed.
