Description

This is a tiny ~ 1.25 inch maximum size fish with a neon blue back and a bright yellow underbelly. The only �problem� with this fish is that it really does better with sea salt in the water. 1 2/3rd Cup Salt/5 gallons is all you really need (1.017 specific gravity if you want to measure it) to keep them happy. You don�t really have to worry about �cycling� a tank like you would for salt water either, these guys are pretty much bullet-proof. They eat live baby brine shrimp which stays alive and quite happy in this salty environment. They lay eggs in mops, like killifish and other rainbowfish and hatch in about 16 days, very easy. Males love to face off against each other spreading their fins wide and spinning around in circles, really fun to watch! Look them up on �Google Image for some better photos too. Unsexed juveniles ~ � inch 8 fish/group. When the auction ends on Saturday evening I want to have an email by Sunday morning so I know whether a Paypal payment is coming shortly or whether we are waiting for a MO. If I am shipping on (Tuesday as Monday is a holiday) morning your prizes need to have a good water change and go without food for 24 hours so that they can be shipped to you in optimal shape. Without the 24 hour fast rainbowfish can easily get ammonia burn or worse. Shipping is $14 Priority Mail and includes a 1.5-2 inch thick styro box. If you want to ship them Express mail then the shipping is $35. I ship all of my fish in breather bags which gives them an edge but getting them sooner than later is a safer idea. I really recommend getting your rainbowfish via Express Mail instead of Priority. Live fish guarantee only with Express mail. Guarantee with immediate digital picture of dead fish - in the bag provides credit for the replacement of DOA fish. Guarantee does not include the cost of shipping.
