Here is the story behind these great little fish. A fellow hobbyist here in the USA, Cheng Moua, contacted me in early 2008 just before I was going on a trip to Germany. He asked if I could bring him back some assorted rainbowfish eggs. After hearing what great fish species he was getting, I agreed to transport them back for him, so he arranged a shipment of several different species to be delivered to the place where I was staying before I was to return home. Unfortunately, the shipment, which contained fish, did not arrive until the day after I left! My friend in Germany agreed to hold the fish for me in hopes that our paths would cross in the near future and I could get them from him. Well we did not run into each other until the ACA convention in Cincinnati in July of 2009 and only three fish were still alive, two males and one female of these guys! I got them home, contacted Cheng to let him know the good news that they finally arrived in the USA and that is how they made their way here to the States! There is a lot more to the story on getting them here, but well keep it short! Cheng originally arranged the shipment from a breeder in Belgium, who got his breeding stock from French hobbyist, Arsne Schneider. I bred the three surviving fish, with Chengs approval, and huge thanks go out for all his efforts in getting this bloodline of fish into the country. >>>>>>>>> So what you are bidding on now is 2 young sexable pairs, sized at 1" or better in total length. The photo shows random males from my bloodline. Remember, these are tank raised fish, spawned and raised in my hatchery, NOT stressed out, emaciated imported fish that just arrived in the USA and are ready to die! Only methods of shipping offered are USPS Express Shipping for a flat rate of $38.00 or UPS ground (less expensive, ask for quote) if ground delivery is no more that a 2 day delivery time from Pennsylvania PA 15063. Email me your zip code for a shipping time/quote if need be. In areas where the outside temperatures are still high, over 86F, I do recommend using the Hold at office option that both UPS and USPS offer. This means the carrier will hold the package at their office, which is often close to you, and you will have to pick up the package yourself. This prevents the fish from being driven around all day in a hot delivery truck which could lead to possible problems. My concern when shipping is for the welfare of the fish.not human convenience or cost savings. I personally will go the extra step to ensure what is best for the fish whether Im shipping them or receiving them. Live delivery will be guaranteed, as long as someone is present to receive & sign for shipment on the first delivery attempt. Live delivery is guaranteed to you, but I DO NOT GUARANTEE THE DELIVERY TIME! Again, email me at sales@alloddballaquatics.com BEFORE YOU BID if you have ANY questions about the shipping or ANY other possible questions. Payment must be sent within 5 days of auction end, PLEASE! PayPal or United States Postal Service Money Orders accepted only. There will be a 3% additional cost added to the final total once shipping is calculated in, this is to help cover some of the banking, service and handling fees that I get hit with! THANKS FOR LOOKING AND MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER AUCTIONS, COMBINE WINNING AUCTIONS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COST! Check out my feedback...it says it all about my fish & items and the way I do business!
