You are bidding on 3 pair of Chilatherina campsi "Wahgi River", sized at 2-2.5" TL. These should be spawning at this time. My photo shows a series of shots taken at different times of the group of 12 adult breeders I have. I wanted to show you some of the variances you will see due to camera flash angle, background, time of day, diet, fish mood etc. As any rainbowfish keeper knows, this can drive a person crazy trying to describe exact color and markings of your fish! Here is the information I received on these fish; "The campsi were collected by an a now elderly ex-aircraft mechanic working in PNG by the name of Barry Crockford who lives in Melbourne. Barry says that the specimens I have came from the Wahgi River near Mt Hagan at about 3000M elevation.Barry brought these into Australia around 1981-82 and he strongly disputes the existence of any other colour variety other than the red-fin variety. There are people talking about a blue form - which most likely was ramuensis. They like 21-22oC temperature and some water circulation." Here is your chance to get hold of an relatively rare, oddball rainbowfish. Remember, these are tank raised fish, spawned and raised in our hatchery, they are NOT stressed out, emaciated imported fish that just arrived in the USA and are ready to die.
