Description

One prime young breeding pair of Chilatherina bleheri (more are available). According to Adrian Tappin, this gorgeous rainbow fish is uncommon in captivity and, in 2002 and 2009, this species was listed as threatened by Conservation International and the IUCN respectively. As West Papua industrializes, their habitat is coming under threat. In a few years or decades, they may only survive in our tanks. They were born and bred here in sunny California in our hard/alkaline tap water. They are currently 2-2.5 inches long. The pic was taken today and shows the actual fish you will get. It is a terrible pic, but I figure that if a pic is worth a 1,000 words, then my bad pic is worth at least 500 words.
