Description

I have a bunch of 1" or so Boesemani rainbowfish I'd like to sell. I'll send a group of at least six. The included picture is of a random male from my breeding group. My adults were brought in from a German wholesaler who lists them as German Red Boesemani. The fish for sale are from a spawn of my original German fish. They've been intentionally bred for their vivid colors. The adult males will have deep blue fronts and red/deep orange backs. The adult females are a nice dark green. Fish from local sources are washed out in comparison. They look even better unstressed and underwater, but my photo skills aren't good enough to capture it. At this price you'll have to grow yours out like I did. They can't be easily sexed at this size, though some of the males are already getting a hint of orange on their tails. A diet high in astaxanthin from a young age is important to bring out the full potential colors of a rainbowfish. Mine have been fed BBS, powdered spirulina flake, Golden Pearls, freeze dried rotifers, freeze dried cyclopeze, and powdered brine shrimp flake daily. They have a good start on their base nutrition. Shipping is by USPS Express at $35 with a guaranteed live arrival IF you have next day service from my ZIP of 55082 to you, USPS Priority at $18 with no live arrival guarantee. If you choose USPS Express I�ll add an extra pair of fish AND I�ll cover postage in the event of DOA. They�ll be shipped in molded styros with breather bags. My water is around pH 8 and 300 ppm. I�m a hobbyist like you, not a business. I�m currently keeping around 20 tanks of mainly rainbowfish. These are some of my best. Again, this is not an auction for my adult fish, it's for young fish that you will get to grow out to adult size.
