Description

Youre bidding on 6 fish, 1.25-1.5 inches in length, just sexable, but probably already throwing eggs, they are very prolific. This is a fish that doesnt get real big (~2.5 inches) and also does quite nicely in hard water. When you read Heikos accounts of collecting this fish it sounds like the water contained a lot of limestone. It also does great in my 125 ppm GH water which is sort of medium hardness. It seems like this fish is on all of the time, flashing at other males and especially the girls. Its an easy to keep and breed fish, just keep up with your water changes. Like all rainbowfish they enjoy quality protein foods like frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp. Dont forget to add some vegetable flakes to their diet too. If youre tired of store bought crossed and washed out junk rainbowfish I have a better suggestion! Buy your rainbowfish from me. If youre tired of seeing auctions that are just foisting the same Far East wholesaler, or worse, FLORIDA crap as their own, buy your rainbowfish from me. You get what you pay for I raise and breed more species and location (river) variants of rainbowfish than anyone else in the United States. My rainbowfish are all raised by me and not imported from some off shore farm. My aquariums are carefully marked to ensure that similar species are not mixed up or crossed. So many rainbowfish look very similar when they are small so attention to detail is vital. You will see in my listings rainbowfish that have never been offered EVER in the United States. Youll get prompt and courteous service and youll get some great fish that youll enjoy for years to come. When the auction ends on Saturday evening I would like to have an email by Sunday morning so I know whether a PayPal payment is coming shortly or whether we are waiting for a MO. If I am shipping on Monday morning your prizes need to have a good water change and go without food for 24 hours so that they can be shipped to you in optimal shape. Without the 24 hour fast rainbowfish can easily get ammonia burn or worse. Shipping is $10 Priority Mail and includes a 1.5-2 inch thick styro box. If you want to ship them Express mail then the shipping is $32. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Rainbowfish really need to have a lot of oxygen to survive. I ship all of my fish in breather bags which gives them an edge but getting them sooner than later is a safer idea. I really recommend getting your rainbowfish via Express Mail instead of Priority. Live fish guarantee only with Express mail. Guarantee with immediate (within 2 hours of USPS delivery) digital picture of dead fish - in the bag provides credit for the replacement of DOA fish. Guarantee does not include the cost of shipping. Guarantee does not extend to replacement fish. Happy Bidding!
