Tunes! Hello folks! Happy Friday! This offering is for 8 Young 1 to 1 1/2 inch long Dermogenys pusilla along with a Group of 8 Young RREA Hifin Swordtails that are about 1/2 an inch long plus a small amount of floating plants I have growing in my grow out tank. Take advantage of these type of offerings, you can get a lot of bang for your buck starting off with younger fish plus have a lot of both sexes to work with! You can keep all these fish together for now but you will want to eventually set each group up for breeding in separate tanks once they become sexually mature. I have set Half-beaks up for breeding several times over the last 20 years and I always enjoy messing with them. They are EASY to work with if you know how to do it and I took the time to explain things below. I even added some photos of my current breeding set up. I simply keep an eye on them and when there is fry in the tank I remove them and raise them up in a separate tank so their parents don't eat them! I also always add some bottom feeders to my half-beak tanks because half-beaks do not do a very good job eating food off the bottom of their tanks. Ancistrus, Corydoras, snails and shrimp work well for this. In fact you can breed some of those things right in a tank with these half-beaks and that just increases the fun you can have with your tanks. Win this offering and I will send you 8 young Dermogenys pusilla along with 8 young RREA Hifin Swordtails. This is a VERY NICE deep red strain of RREA's I personally imported from China. If you are into RREA strains and you dig RED fish instead of orange fish you WILL like this strain! I will also send you a small amount of Naja Grass, Weeping Moss and Subwassertang that will thrive in a half-beak tank but may not do so well with 8 young hungry swordtails picking at it non stop.(that means don't keep all of it in with these young RREA swordtails if you want to maintain it in your fish room) and YES if you allow me to ship in a TIMELY MANNER I'll even add another species of fish to this offering! Lastly I will send you some high quality foods I am feeding all these nice young fish! Shipping is ALWAYS free with my offerings and I guarantee the fish you receive will look just like the fish I use in my auction photos! These are photos of my breeding set up. I have 1 Male and 3 Females in the breeding tank. Each Female produces about 15-20 fry a month and they are born large at 1/4 inch. The stomach area of the females turns orange 24-48 hours before she will drop her fry so that's what I am always looking for. The fry go directly to the surface of the tank and I scoop them out with a plastic bowl and move them to their own tank for growing out. I bought those surface mats on Amazon a few years ago and they work fantastic for fry that like to hide near the surface! It's quite a fun breeding project and I have recreated it several times cuz breeding half-beaks is just plain old cool!LOL! Allow me to SHIP in a timely manner for even MORE cool stuff!
