Tunes! Hello folks! Happy Friday!! This offering is for a breeding group of full grown Apistogramma cacatuoides "orange flash". This group is extremely productive and I have have literally gotten several hundred fry from them. You will receive the large adult Male you can see below plus the 3 Females he has bred with repeatedly. I have been spawning them in a 20 gallon long. You should provide each Female with a cave. I did not have to use any dither fish with this group and the Males been extremely gentle with all 3 Females. I added a short moving picture to this offering showing the simple breeding set up I have been using with them. I do remove the caves once I see eggs in them and hatch them out in a separate container and that's how I recommend you work with them if you are looking to raise a lot of fry. The Males is LARGE at about a little over 3 inches long and all 3 Females are about 1.5 inches long. They are all the same age. I figure anyone bidding on this offering is into Apistos so if you win this offering AND you allow me to SHIP in a timely manner I will also send you a nice young sexed Pr. of Apistogramma agassizii "red" to work with. These agassizii are right about breeding age and the Males are now fully colored up and the Females are yellow. They should start breeding at any time now. I would NOT recommend attempting to keep them in the same tank as this cacatuoides group though so IMO you would want to put them in a separate tank with dither fish. ALL these fish are being maintained in Great Lakes harder water with a ph of about 7.6. I will also include some high quality dry foods all these fish are aggressively eating but if you want to keep them breeding and condition up the young Pr. of agassizii to spawn you WILL need to at minimum feed them some frozen brine shrimp regularly.
