Description

This week's offering is for a proven, young adult pair of neolamprologus multifasciatus plus two additional young fish. I will do my best to select another male/female pair but make no guarantees on the additional two fish. I will also include 6 juvenile, unsexed, julidochromis transcriptus Gombe. They are about 3/4" long. Both strains of these fish are really nice. Over the years I've sold probably hundreds of the transcriptus Gombe fry from this strain and have received many comments on what a beautiful strain of fish they are/become. They remain relatively small(less than 3"), are stout, have very defined markings, are dark in color and develop a blue iridescence in the fins as adults. They produce small batches of fry on a regular basis. A large batch of fry is 12-15 fish. I have kept the multi's and transcriptus in a mixed Tanganyikan community tank with no issues. The transcriptus quickly learn to avoid the area of shells that the mutli's occupy. I would say that while the transcriptus grow larger than the multi's, the transcriptus are the more mildy mannered of the two. At this size, I would recommend placing the juvenile transcriptus in a grow-out tank of their own. The multi's are larger and you will be receiving at least one young adult pair. So they may get to the business of spawning in short order and may be too rough on the young transcriptus. I will be shipping these fish on Tuesday. So do not bid on this auction if you are not prepared to pay for it when the auction closes(via Paypal). I don't hold fish an extra week waiting for a response or payment. Communication is paramount. Shipping is $15 on top of the winning bid and is non-refundable. It includes an insulated box and appropriate heat packs to get the fish to your door in excellent condition. Thanks for looking.
