Description

This offering is for 10 juvenile, unsexed, spotted green swordtails. They are about 1/4" and just getting spots. This is a line that has been around Western NY for many years now. I believe Pete Mang orginally brought them into the area. I know that over the years some local swordtail guys have used this strain to spot some other color strains of swordtails. I acquired 2 young gravid females a couple months ago and took a drop of fry from each. I plan on keeping some fry for myself but as they're growing-out I have some to spare. I will also include one of the gravid females I acquired. This strain grows large. I've seen females at 4" and chunky. The gravid female in this auction(pictured)is nearly that big. The male pictured is Pete's. He gave me permission to use his photo since I didn't have a male. The adult males of this strain are very intolerant of other males. Most folks I know who are working with them are keeping 1 male to several females. The females are even scrappy among themselves. I'll also include some pieces of java fern and heudelotii bolbitis which grow nicely in my hard Lake Erie water, with moderate lighting and no fertilizers. I ship on Monday and Tuesday only. Shipping is $15 on top of the winning auction bid and is non-refundable. It includes an insulated box and necessary heat packs to get the fish to you in excellent condition.
