Hello folks! Happy July!! This offering is for a Breeding group of Mbuna's I got from my friend Diane's fish room. Diane keeps and breeds a lot of Rainbow fish, Mbuna's, and Betta's and I have offered some of her "Maingano Cichlids" in the past here at AquaBid.com. These fish are actually called Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos and they are a Lake Malawi mouth breeding cichlid. There are a lot of cool things going regarding these fish but what separates them out from most other Mbuna's are 1. They are dwarf's and only get to be about 2.5 to 3 inches long AND their fry are born already colored up and look pretty much like the adults when the Female spits them out. You are bidding on a GROUP of 5. You WILL receive BOTH SEXES. I highly recommend you put all 5 in a tank that is at least 20 gallons along with a lot of rock work. Then just simply feed them well and wait. Soon enough you will notice some of your Females are not eating at feeding time. Don't panic, they are not sick, they are holding eggs! At this point you just got your first spawn! About 3 weeks later she will spit out between about 20 to 40 fry and they will be all developed and basically look like tiny versions of the adults. If you want to REALLY watch the process from just inches away try installing one of those Marina Breeding Boxes on the front of your tank so you can place holding Females in it until they spit out the fry. Don't know what that is? Click HERE to see one in action. I also have a nice Pr. of Albino Ancistrus set aside for this offering. I will send those to you too! They are right about 8 Months old and WILL breed for you if you supply them with a cave! I recommend you do NOT keep them in with your breeding group of Maingano Cichlids cuz they will most likely not get enough to eat if kept with fast moving Mbuna's. I will also send you a generous amount of foods for both the Dwarf Cichlids and the Ancistrus. If there's more room in the box I'll make sure it's full before I tape it up and send it off. Give these Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos a try! They are not something usually seen in fish shops, are one of a very few Malawi Mbuna's that stay small and they are a lot of fun to breed. PLUS their fry look great at a young age so they are easy to sell! I think you will enjoy messing with this group!
