Hello folks! Happy June!! This is the PERFECT offering for somebody looking for some nice South American Dwarf Cichlids to breed OR for somebody looking to add some nice fish to a planted community tank! Win this offering and I will send you a nice Group of 1 Male and 3 Female Apistogramma cacatuoides along with a Mated Pr. of German Blue Rams that have spawned twice in the fish room in the last 3 weeks. The last time these Rams bred was last night and I pulled the eggs and am now ready to let you get some eggs from them. These Apistogramma cacatuoides (they are the "triple red" strain) were born right in the fish room and have not spawned for me yet but they will any time now. The Male is looking awesome and the Females have started to become the brilliant yellow color they exhibit when getting ready to breed. I'll bet you this group of Apistogramma cacatuoides will start spawning for you within 1 week of them arriving! Seriously! I will also send you 6 L-144 Blue Eye Ancistrus with this offering too. Those are about an inch long maybe a little bigger. I'll bet you are wondering why I am including 1 Male and 3 Female cacatuoides in this offering aren't you? Well that's because in my opinion that is the best way to keep Apisto's that are breeding. The Females take care of the eggs and fry and once they spawn they don't really want the Male around. If you have 3 Females he will quickly take the hint and move on to the next Female in line to breed. You will find you have much LESS aggression this way, a lot MORE spawns going on AND you won't have to worry about the Male getting angry and possibly beating up/killing your only Female which can happen if you just keep a single Pr. in a small tank. Trust me a 1 to 3 sex ratio is the way to go! I am maintaining two separate groups of Apistos this way right now and both groups are working out GREAT and this will work out great for you too! Also, for you chemists, both the Apisto's AND these German Blue Rams are breeding and producing FERTILE eggs in my harder alkaline water. I highly recommend if you have typical harder North East/Great Lakes type water you leave the water alone and allow these fish to spawn in it. I think you will end up getting great results and you won't have to jump through hoops messing with your water parameters every time you decide to do a water change. One other thing, I think fish like these Dwarf Cichlids do best with some dither fish in their tank. There's dither fish where they breed in the wild and if you want to watch them acting naturally you outta have some in their tank too. If you will be setting these up to breed and you would like some dither fish let me know. I will add some NICE dither fish you may even decide to try breeding yourself to the box! I will also send you some high quality foods for all these fish. Give these Dwarf Cichlids a try. I have been having a good time messing with them and I bet you will too PLUS they are sweet looking fish!
