Hello folks!
Happy March!
This offering is for a Young Group of 4 Red Dragon Peacock Cichlids along with a very nice Male LDA-31 Pleco I have had swimming around in one tank or another in the fish room for Months!
These Red Dragons Peacocks were born here in the fish room last Fall while I was auctioning off their parents and they are the last 4 I have here. There's an obvious Male and 3 others that look like Females but I believe I actually have 2 Pr. here. The Male with the color just started to mature and he looked just like the other 3 fish just a couple weeks ago. There is another fish in this group that has longer more pointed fins and I'd bet in just a few short weeks from now he'll be starting to develop color too.
These fish are PEACEFUL mouthbrooders and you could keep them with just about anything they can't easily swallow hat is also peaceful. I would estimate they are about 6-8 short weeks away from hitting an age they could start breeding for you.
These are EASY to breed too.
The day you feed them and you notice one of the fish isn't out wolfing down foods will be the day they have started breeding. Simply catch that fish and place it in anything that holds water and about 17-20 days later she'll spit out a bunch of fry and you will be an instant grandfather!
Those large size Marina Breeding Boxes work GREAT for temporarily holding Females with mouthfuls of eggs and you can even raise the fry in them for quite a while too! I use them in my fish room and you outta have a couple of them around so you can set up a "holding tank" within minutes when the need arises!
I am also going to send you the LDA-31 you can see below.
That catfish is a Male and he's been in my fish room for Months! He's FAT and HAPPY and tame and will not hide all the time. I have had him here so long I can't even remember where I got him from or why I have him at all! But he's a nice fish, a good cleaner and I have him in the same tank as I do these Peacocks so when I caught the cichlids out for photos I caught him too!
These are also sometimes caller "Mustard Spotted Plecos" at some local fish shops.
You can keep him right in with these Peacocks if you want. They all get along just fine and they are all used to being together.
Lastly, do NOT win this offering if you plan to throw these Peacocks into a tank with "Assorted Mbuna's or "Assorted Africans" cuz that rarely works out and these Peacocks will not be able to compete with those rough and tumble Malawi fish. It might work out for a little while but soon enough you will have beat up, run down, peacock cichlids instead of a beautiful group of young spawning fish. You would be better off tossing these Peacocks into a tank full of Swordtails, tetras, and Gouramis than trying to keep them with aggressive Malawi Mbunas!
Lastly, I will send you some high-quality foods for all these fish!
Try these out folks!
That Male in my photos is just STARTING to develop some color. He's going to end up being a beautiful fish and I believe you will end up with 2 nice Pr's. of these Red Dragons. If you follow my advice and remove the Females when they are holding eggs you outta be able to really have success breeding them and have a good time doing it.
Hopefully, you will also be able to find a Female LDA-31 and get those going too!
Shipping is FREE with all my offerings and I guarantee live arrival of nice HEALTHY fish that look just like they do in my photos!
