Hello folks! Happy March! This offering is for somebody looking to BREED some NICE Livebearers along with what I consider to be easy egglayers and I am going to send you some tools so you can actually work with these fish and get some fry out of them. I have been trying to acquire some more Jet Black Swordtails from Ed Parker but he doesn't have any up to size right now so just be patient folks! On a brighter note, he DOES have his awesome Pineapple Wag Swordtails up to selling size and I was able to get a few of those and if you win this offering I will send you the NICE Trio you can see below. There are very few folks breeding Pineapple Wag Swords in the USA and NOBODY is breeding any Pineapple Wags that have the kind of color Ed's do! If you like gaudy colored big bodied Swordtails you will like these. I am also going to include 15 feet of brand new Green Garland in this box cuz it provides GREAT cover for livebearer fry and I have some and so should you. My recommendation would be to put that Garland in a smaller tank OR 5-gallon BUCKET and then move a fat and obviously pregnant Female Swordtail to the extra tank or bucket and try to get a drop from her that way. You can sometimes get a few Swordtail fry to survive in with their parents but if you really want to raise a nice big generation of Swords you really outta allow the Female to drop in some sort of container by herself. That way after she has all her babies you can place her back in the main tank and presto you have between 50 and 100 baby swordtails to start raising up! Next, I am going to send you 6 Choprae Danios. You will receive BOTH SEXES. These are a really pretty Danio that really have not been in the hobby very long. I am guessing I saw my first ones right around 1998-2000. These are egg scatterers but their eggs are not very sticky and I have found if I put them in a bare tank and just give them a small mop to breed over they will deposit their eggs into it and then the eggs fall through the small mop and into the coarse gravel I keep below the mop. If I keep the course gravel in a small container then when the spawning ends I can pick the whole container right out of the tank and hatch all the eggs in a small tank or 5-gallon bucket OR plastic dish tub etc, and once again "presto" I have a nice spawn of Danio fry to raise up AWAY from the hungry adults that laid those eggs. You can see what I am talking about in some of my photos below. Why am I telling you all this crap? Cuz I am going to INCLUDE one of these mop/coarse gravel set-ups with this offering and I want you to know what it's for! I am also going to include some SMALL foods to feed any fry you end up with! Folks, you can have a lot of FUN breeding fish, shrimp, etc without having to spend a lot of MONEY and that's something I always try to tell folks who I meet in the hobby. I have raised more fish in buckets and Tupperware containers etc than most folks ever dream of producing. There's no big secret to it, you just gotta roll up your sleeves and do it! I have also been raising 2 spawns of L-144 Blue Eyed Ancistrus in my trusty pink dish tub and lastly I took a photo of some of my 5-gallon buckets "tanks" I am raising fry in.
