Hello folks! Happy October! This offering is for 6 "Hoplo Cats!" These fish were wild caught and you are going to receive 2 different species cuz I once again kept my eyes open at the importers while I was scoping out the fish! You will receive 4 Megalechis picta also called Bartail Hoplo's along with 2 Megalechis thoracata also called Spotted Hoplo's and a bunch of other names I don't feel like typing out. Here's what you need to know about these cool catfish! The fish I have are wild caught and the reason I have both species is because they all arrived to the USA as "Hoplo Cat's". The Megalechis thoracata you can see below in the second group of photo's are what we usually see being imported as "Hoplo's" and are the catfish I offer when I can find them. The Megalechis picta, Bartail Hoplo's were contaminants in the box and as soon as I saw those I knew it was time to grab some Hoplo Cats cuz those are rarely if ever imported to the USA. How rare are they? Well I have never offered them before AND I have never photographed them before either! Both species are bubblenest builders and they are both well behaved community tank fish! These are ALL I have and if you are a catfish lover like I am AND you like keeping the harder to find stuff then this is the offering for you!
